The organisers of the London Landmarks Half-Marathon have decided to postpone their popular event, scheduled for Sunday March 29.

And they include Antibiotic Research UK.
The race around some of the capital’s most prestigious sites made some great memories for last year’s team of Antibiotic Research UK’s runners – and helped raise money to find new medications to treat drug-resistant infections and save lives.
“We are really sorry for all those runners who have already put in the miles of training and sweat and dedication to complete the course and do their bit for our charity” said Antibiotic Research UK Chief Executive, Professor Colin Garner. “The good news is that the race organisers are in talks with London’s local authorities to reschedule and are confident it will take place later in the year.”
The cancellation of fundraising events will have a direct effect on the revenue small charities will raise and Colin continued: “It is really important that supporters continue their patronage and if anything, try and give a little more during the Coronavirus outbreak. COVID-19 is showing us what a major health crisis looks like and unless we find new treatments to tackle drug-resistance, we could be looking at something even more severe in the future. Please, give now, protect modern medicine and save lives.”
