We are looking for new Education Committee Members to help us tackle antibiotic resistance

Alison Staples Get involved

Antibiotic Research UK (ANTRUK) is a small but rapidly growing charity fighting bacterial antibiotic resistance. Our mission is to develop new antibiotic therapies, educate the public and professionals about antibiotic resistance and provide patient information for those affected.

The ANTRUK Education Committee advises on all educational activities on behalf of the charity, working with our members, the public and professionals with the aim of increasing awareness of antibiotic resistance and carrying out public engagement activities. We are seeking to recruit additional committee members to support our expanding portfolio of activities. All enquiries are welcome but we are particularly interested in recruiting people with a background in primary or secondary education,  community work and health care professionals with an interest in tackling resistance.  The Committee meets virtually about four times a year with one face to face meeting annually combined with the Annual Lecture and AGM (this year’s face to face meeting is in the morning of 18 October 2018).

Informal enquiries may be made to Christine Bond, Chair of the Education Committee (c.m.bond@abdn.ac.uk). Formal expressions of interest should be sent to Susan Bryan, Professional Secretary of the Education Committee at susan.bryan@antibioticresearch.org.uk, enclosing a cv and supporting letter.
