Without effective antibiotics, most cancer treatment, whether this be surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy or any combination is wholly reliant on functional antibiotics being available. This is particularly the case for bowel cancer surgery or treatment of lymphomas or leukaemias where the body’s immune system is suppressed.
