How to support Antibiotic Research UK

There are many ways students can get involved and support the work of Antibiotic Research UK, here are just a few ideas:

  • Oganise an event for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) – ideas include a guest lecture, Great British Tea Party, raffle, awareness stall, or bucket collection. Visit our dedicated page for more info

  • Enter a team into the Great University Science Quiz – taking place in WAAW this is an online university science quiz competing against students from around the UK

  • Organise a fundraising event

  • Choose us as your society’s charity of the year

  • Help us recruit people to Roundups – a microdonation app which rounds up your card donations to the nearest 10p, 50p or £1. You can pause at any time giving you complete control

  • Set up an Anti-Microbial Resistance Society – ask your student union how to do this and get in touch if you need more information

  • Sign up to our newsletter and keep up to date with our work

  • Become a volunteer – we are always looking for people to help us with public speaking and becoming community ambassadors. Find out more on our volunteering pages
