We’re excited at the appointment of Tolla Curle as new Trustee

Alison Staples ANTRUK announcements

The Trustees have recognised for some time that someone with a finance background was needed to broaden the expertise of the current Trustees. After a painstaking search, we are delighted to announce that Tolla Curle has agreed to join the Trustees. Tolla has a MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and trained as an accountant at PWC in Leeds before she moved to PWC London where she was an assistant audit manager. Since then she has held a number of finance positions in Le Meridien Hotels, Smith and Nephew, Northern Foods and Boparan Holdings (2 Sisters Food Group) where she was Group Financial Controller. She is now Group Finance Director – Reporting, Treasury and Governance in the Boparan Private Office. Boparan Private Office comprises food manufacturing, property and restaurant businesses.

Tolla brings a scientific background together with fantastic financial knowledge and will greatly strengthen ANTRUK’s Trustees. Tolla, who lives in Leeds, says ‘I am really excited to be joining ANTRUK’s Trustees and helping in the fight against antibiotic resistance. As a mum with two young children, I want to make sure that they have the same benefit from effective antibiotics as I and my parents had. As a new charity I am looking forward to making a positive contribution to helping the charity grow.’ Ashley Burgess, the charity’s Chair said ‘We are really pleased that Tolla has agreed to join the Trustees. At a time when charities are under increasing scrutiny, Tolla brings a deep knowledge of financial governance that will aid us going forward.’
