Meet the Team

Our Patient Support Team members are all healthcare professionals. While they can’t offer you personal medical advice, they understand resistant infections and how the healthcare system works. Every member of the team cares deeply about what they do. Find out more about each of them below, and visit our Find Support page to contact them.

Aileen, Deputy Patient Support Officer

My name is Aileen and I am a pharmacist with experience in many sectors of the profession. In previous roles I have been active in health policy, influencing change and prescribing governance as well as working in the community and in the pharmaceutical industry. I am very aware of the enormous pressure we are under globally to minimise antibiotic resistance and to find new ways of combatting antimicrobial infections.

As part of the patient support team I can use my experience to help and support patients whose lives have been adversely affected by resistant infections . I am passionate about the need to raise awareness and understanding about antibiotic resistance both within the general public and across the health professions.

Dee, Assistant Patient Support Officer

My name is Dee, and I am a qualified nurse with experience working across acute care and public health settings. I’ve become increasingly concerned about antibiotic resistance and the global threat it poses to human and animal health, as well as to the environment.

Because antibiotic resistance is largely driven by overuse and misuse of antibiotics, I’m pleased to be involved with a charity that is supporting patients whose lives are being directly affected by this, while also working to ensure these precious medicines will continue to be effective in the future.
