Alison Staples ANTRUK announcements, Get involved

We are looking for two home-based South East Freelance Regional Fundraisers who will need to  be able to frequently travel around London & SE England.

Antibiotic resistance, that is where bacteria become resistant to antibiotics is on the rise both globally and nationally. If nothing is done it has been estimated that globally up to 10 million people could die annually from resistance by 2050. Our charity, the world’s first to tackle this problem, is rapidly growing. We would now like to recruit two dynamic Regional Fundraisers – covering London and the South East with the energy, enthusiasm and experience to realise our ambitious goals to increase our income to support our mission of research, education and patient support.

This role will be managed by our Head of Fundraising to ensure the growth of income in these geographic areas. The focus will be primarily on high value community based fundraising.

About you:

You will have at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant  fundraising role with a good understanding of raising income from the community, porting events and major donors. You should be able to demonstrate that you have experience of setting up local fundraising groups. Ideally, you will also have experience of income planning and analysis in order to help predict income across your audiences.

You will be committed to the highest level of donor care across all community relationships in your region. You will have strong written and oral skills and be able to work independently under your own initiative, and cooperatively as part of the fundraising team. You will have a strategic attitude to approaching various community audiences in order to maximise income generation.

You must have a valid driving license and have access to a car. You may be required to work outside of normal working hours, which will be paid for at your normal day rate.

You will research, and liaise with, key regional audiences to identify and recruit new supporters and promote our community fundraising events including our flagship annual event the Great British Tea Party, in order to hit agreed income targets in the SE region. You will identify and recruit new sporting event participants in your area. You will also be responsible for setting up local groups using our database of existing donors and interacting with our Trustees who are based in the South East.

You will be resilient, resourceful and flexible. A knowledge of medical research and antibiotic resistance would be helpful and a working knowledge of the Salesforce CRM database would be advantageous.
